This Policy explains what personal data we collect from drivers (“Drivers,” “Chauffeurs,” “you”), how we use it, how we share it, and what rights you have regarding your information. It applies to all use of the UZEL Driver App and all related UZEL Driver Tools.
1. Scope
UZEL acts as a digital marketplace connecting Riders with licensed Transportation Service Providers (LSPs). UZEL does not employ Drivers; all transportation is performed through independent contractors or partner operators. This Policy applies to all Drivers using the UZEL Driver Tools.

4. Data Security
UZEL uses industry-standard security including:
- AWS Lambda isolated compute
- Encrypted PostgreSQL databases (AWS RDS)
- VPC private networking + security groups
- TLS 1.2+ encrypted communication
- Encrypted driver documents
- Access control and audit logging
Email is not fully secure; encrypted communication is available upon request.
5. Application & Onboarding
During onboarding, UZEL may receive and process:
- Name, address, contact details
- Driver’s license, TLC license, or permits
- Eligibility documents
- Background checks (when permitted)
- Driving history
- Profile photo
- Vehicle & insurance documents
Used for:
- Eligibility verification
- Safety compliance
- Identity verification providers & Stripe payouts
Retention: 1–3 years if onboarding fails, unless laws require longer.
6. Driver Data We Process
Identity & Contact Data
- Name, phone, email
- Photo, vehicle details
- Licenses & permits
Operational & Ride Data
- Pickup & drop-off data
- Route, distance, timestamps
- Rider coordination information
- Service requests, cancellations, no-shows
- Pet / service animal documentation
Financial & Payment Data
- Taxpayer identification (if needed)
- Stripe Driver ID & payout history
- Banking info (handled by Stripe)
Device & Technical Data
- Device model, OS version
- App version, crash data
- IP address, session logs
Communication Data
- In-app chat
- SMS logs
- Email and support tickets
7. Automated Decision-Making
UZEL may use automated systems for:
- Identity verification
- Fraud detection
- GPS consistency checks
- Ride allocation optimization
You may request manual review of automated decisions.
8. GPS Tracking & Location Data
Location tracking begins when you mark "On the way" or 60 minutes before pickup, and ends when “Finish Ride” is tapped.
Used for:
- Navigation & route optimization
- ETA accuracy
- Fraud prevention
- Safety and dispute resolution
Location data is stored securely for up to 2 years, then anonymized.
9. Rider Ratings
Riders may submit ratings that become part of your driver profile and are shared with your LSP, but not with other Drivers.
10. Communication with UZEL
UZEL may store communication logs for:
- Support case resolution
- Fraud and safety detection
- Quality assurance
11. Sharing of Driver Data
Data may be shared with:
- Passengers (name, photo, vehicle info)
- Partner LSPs
- Stripe (payouts)
- Google APIs (navigation)
- Insurance or law enforcement when required
- AWS hosting & communication providers
12. Data Subject Rights
You have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict, object, and request copies of your data.

UZEL may update this Policy periodically. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
